I visited PJ's this evening only for a moment, as I am aboard the Amtrak on my way to Portland. The gentleman working this evening on the 12th of October was extremely kind! I asked if there was anything I could grab in time to not miss the train boarding, and he offered a cup of soup this evening as anything else would make me late. He dropped what he was doing and ran off to grab a cup and got me on my way! I appreciate it and the soup Thank you very much!
My Amtrak train was about 4 hours late and I was pretty much stuck there in Havre MT. I figured I better get food before. So this place was right across the street, I decided just to go get something small. I sat myself, it wasn't too busy when I went in, but started getting lots of people in. Seemed like everyone knew everyone, waitress was kind and was attentive to me. I just ordered a grilled cheese, tasted like it was HOME made, sometimes you can tell that some places try to hard to make it gourmet, but not here, it was like my mom made it. I got a sandwich, side and a drink for less than 12. I don't think I'll ever make it that north again, but if you are just passing by and need to eat... I recommend PJ'S.
Great place, used to come here with my grandfather a lot before he passed. Has great food and a decent variety on the menu. Service is always great but the place is usually a little chilly.
Dropped in for lunch. Great service. Ordered 3, two piece chicken strips and fries. Just the right size for kids and older adults. I had a chicken fried steak with hash browns, corn and a roll. It was delicious and a good serving. Recommended for someone to try. Been decades since I had that. Will certainly order it again next time through.
We got a sandwich and Cobb salad to go. Our waitress was quick and really friendly. We had a beer while we waited. The food was great! The Cobb salad had generous amounts of chicken and really good bacon, and perfectly ripe avocado slices and a whole sliced boiled egg! Plus lettuce and tomato and cheese. The blt was tasty and fries were good too. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful little spot directly across from Amtrak station. I called ahead to order soup to go, ham and potato. Came with a roll, butter, crackers, spoon and napkins. All ready to go for me as I ran across to grab it. Very good soup. Thank you!

Visiting from California... Exploring Montana via the Amtrack train (the empire builder)... Fresh off the train and starved for an adult libation and some appetizers... stumbled into this place, which appears to be a local hangout... Everyone was welcoming, the environment was clean, the food was good (seasoned fries & ckn strips), and the libations were flowing (jack & diet)... Lol, the funniest moment while sitting there ... asked the bartender about a taxi, Uber, or lyft, and the look on their face was priceless!!!! If you are hoping off the train and in need of a quick snack or cocktail to hold ya over, this is it...
